How to Use Supernormal Without Generic AI Instructions
Stop being the note-taker and the follow-up sender. Record the call, get structured notes and action items, and share them automatically.
Dear Suzannah
Dear Suzannah, my client meetings generate pages of notes, a list of action items, and a follow-up email I always mean to send but never get to. By the next meeting, nobody remembers what we agreed on. Is there a way to capture the notes and next steps without me being the designated note-taker?
Record the call and let the tool write it up.
Supernormal joins your meeting, records the audio, and generates structured notes with action items and a follow-up summary. You focus on the conversation and share the results with one click.
The real use case
Your client meetings produce decisions, action items, and follow-up commitments that need to be captured and shared. Instead of taking notes during the call and writing a follow-up email afterward, you let Supernormal record the meeting. The tool transcribes the conversation, generates structured notes with key decisions and action items, and creates a shareable summary. After the call, you review the notes, confirm the action items, and send the summary to attendees so everyone has the same record of what was agreed.
No prompt needed: use this workflow instead
Supernormal is not a prompt tool for this use case. Set it up to capture your meetings and generate notes through the interface. Follow these steps for each client call.
- Connect Supernormal to your calendar (Google Calendar or Outlook) so it can detect upcoming meetings and join them automatically.
- Before the client call, open the meeting event in your calendar and confirm Supernormal is listed as a participant.
- When the meeting starts, Supernormal joins and begins recording. Mention the meeting purpose and key attendees early so the notes are organized correctly.
- During the call, state action items clearly with names and deadlines, e.g., Marcus will send the proposal by Tuesday, so the tool captures them accurately.
- After the meeting ends, open the Supernormal dashboard and navigate to the meeting to review the generated transcript, notes, and action items.
- Edit any action item that is missing an owner or deadline, and add any decision that the tool did not capture from the transcript.
- Click Share to send the formatted summary to all attendees via email, or copy the link into your CRM or project tracker for the client record.
Make the result less generic
- State action items with names and specific deadlines out loud so the tool captures them correctly.
- Review the notes immediately after the call, not the next day, while context is still fresh.
- Edit any action item missing an owner or deadline before sharing with the client.
- Share the summary into your CRM or project tracker, not just email, so commitments are tracked.
- Check the transcript for any key decision that did not make it into the summary and add it manually.
Quick human check
- Does the summary capture the key decisions from the call, or did it miss any?
- Are all action items listed with the correct owner and a specific deadline?
- Did you edit any action item that was vague or unassigned before sharing?
- Is the summary shared with all attendees and logged in your CRM or tracker?
- Would a client who missed the call understand what was decided and what happens next?
